mountain retreat

This sprawling home was designed to take advantage of breathtakingly beautiful views of the mountains and river below – located in Murphy, North Carolina. The home has multiple balconies on the rear with a double-height great room, a gym/music room, a small lounge space, and a primary bed area that is surrounded by three walls of glass as well as a three-sided balcony. The primary bedroom more than any other space in the home, feels like being in a treehouse.

The main roof moves from the front of the home to the rear, allowing for incredible mountain vistas.  Large shed roofs create undulation reminiscent of the surrounding mountainous terrain.
