The concept behind this residence was to evoke the character and warmth of a traditional Spanish hacienda while incorporating a more contemporary sense of flexibility and spatial efficiency. From the street, the home presents a disciplined and classically inspired façade, reinforcing a traditional architectural language and sense of permanence.
As one moves around the exterior, however, the composition begins to shift, revealing more dynamic and unexpected massing conditions that emerge directly from the internal planning strategy. The layout was developed to maximize usable living areas while minimizing circulation space, resulting in a highly efficient organization of program.
The outcome is a series of generously scaled interior spaces that flow naturally into one another, creating an intuitive and comfortable spatial progression throughout the home.
